The Popularity of D-Generation X

Triple H and Shawn Michaels are two of the most decorated athletes in the WWE. Both men are feared and respected by other athletes in the business, as they each won several championship belts. In their long years in the WWE, they have formed one of the most popular stables in wrestling: D-Generation X. The group has had many members in the past years, especially during the WWE “Attitude” era. However, D-Generation X has always been the group associated with Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Even though their former teammates have moved on, Triple H and Shawn Michaels continued the D-Generation X legacy.

D-Generation X started in 1997, when Triple H helped Shawn Michaels beat the Undertaker. Back then, the two wrestlers had with them Chyna and Rick Rude. As the shows went on, D-Generation X feuded with various other factions, including the legendary Hart Foundation led by Shawn Michaels’ rival Bret Hart. D-Generation X went on to become a household name among wrestling fans. Their signature “crotch chop” taunt has been mimicked by many viewers of the WWE. However, D-Generation X lost Shawn Michaels when he went down with an injury. Triple H continued the group by recruiting new members.

The popularity of D-Generation X grew larger even without Shawn Michaels, although the fans longed to have him back. There was a moment in time when Shawn Michaels tried to rejoin the group, although he was suddenly kicked out by Triple H. However, Shawn Michaels and Triple H have patched things up and decided to reform D-Generation X once again. Years after the original formation, D-Generation X continues to impress the crowd with their mic-skills and wrestling moves. New fans are getting into the D-Generation X act and they are more than happy to shout the group’s catchphrase “Suck It.” To reminisce the glory days of D-Generation X, get a copy of this extreme poster.
